Kirkstall Forge, Abbey Road, Leeds

LEEHILL have been awarded the contract to construct the sub-stations as part of the enabling works for the new railway station at Kirkstall Forge, Leeds.

Kirkstall Forge is a major brownfield development site located 3 miles Northwest of Leeds City Centre next to the A65 Abbey Road. The site is a historic riverside setting with proposals to construct around 1,000 new homes amongst numerous commercial, retail and leisure developments over the course of the scheme. 

 
I&H Brown have been contracted to provide a new road into the site with a traffic signal controlled junction on the A65 Abbey Road as well as a bridge over the River Aire provide access to the newly constructed Kirkstall Forge railway station which is due to open towards the end of 2015.
